Nick is born and raised up in Northern Michigan just 20 miles from the shores of Lake Superior. Nick ministers in Pikangikum First Nation alongside Colleen Estes. This young man has a heart to see young people follow God and experience the plans Christ has for their lives. Nick’s roles in Pikangikum are teaching Christian Education classes in the public school, running a drop-in youth centre called Nightlight, and facilitating events with ministry and discipleship to young guys.
I carry with me this sense of conviction as I minister to young people in Pikangikum…as Peter says to Jesus…”To whom shall we go…you have words of eternal life.” I press on in Pikangikum with this same frame of mind…Jesus, I continually press into you and speak the pure gospel. The only thing that brings true life and meaning in such a crazy world.

Prayer Requests

• That youth would rise up and not shy away when God calls out to them. But they would be open and honest.
• Continued prayer for trust and building of relationship among First Nation circles.
• That there would be a few more young people to come work alongside Colleen and I here in Pikangikum.
• Pray for continual healing for hearts and minds in our young people. They carry a lot of unsettling things through life here.
• Pray for me as I go through continual and seasonal battles with my heart and mind. These places are spiritually taxing on our minds and bodies.
